Ballea Writers Club fiction workshops are usually on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month from 7.30 - 9.30 in the Ballea Suite of the Carrigaline Court Hotel.
Ballea Writers Group Poetry and Journalism workshops are by arrangement.

Ballea Writers Club host evenings with visiting authors and their regular writing group workshops are given by their inhouse facilitator Elaine Rhys-Davies.

Dinners, parties and awards are frequent events for Ballea Writers Club, their relatives and supporters. These events are usually scheduled for non-workshop Mondays and are open to other writing groups.

Book-signing evenings got underway with one for Ballea Writers Club members John O' Connell and Joe Kelly, whose award-winning short stories were published in an Arts Office Anthology. Further book signing evenings are scheduled for Ballea Writers Club in 2008.

Ballea Writers Group teach Creative Writing in schools and run competitions for young writers and youth writing groups.
