Writing Group Profile

The Home page introduces Ballea Writers Club, Ireland, and tells one something of its history, development, achievements, ethos and aims for the writing groups future.

The About Us page profiles our writing group members, highlights those of the group that are published and provides the names of our officers among the extended Ballea Writers Club membership list. It also elaborates on our writing club ethos, talks of our writers' resources and provides joining details for prospective new writing group members.

The Events page illuminates that Ballea Writers Club hold twice monthly fiction writing workshops, host readings with visiting authors, give dinners, parties and book signing evenings, run a youth writers club with writing competitions and
teach creative writing in schools.

The Awards page includes Ballea Writers Club winning 2nd in the All Ireland Writers Group of the Year Awards, highlights individual members of the writing group who've won awards for writing fiction and poetry writing, and illustrates winners of the Ballea Writers Club Young Poets of the Year Awards.

The Ballea Writers Club Photo Gallery holds nearly 100 club photographs in album groups: Ballea Writers Club Press Office, Ballea Writers Club Celebrations, Ballea Writers Club Members and Visitors, Ballea Writers Club Website Launch and Ballea Writers Club Young Poets of the Year Awards.

Ballea Writers Club Bookshelf, our writing group library, holds literary novels of Ireland and nearly 200 'How to Write' books. The club library books are listed in alphabetical order and the Bookshelf has an internal search engine where writers can search for availability: by author, title, ISBN, or by writing topics-types of writing-writing styles such as poetry, fiction, plots, freelance, scriptwriting, romance, mystery, travel, sport, humour, screenwriting, and writing for radio.

The Links page of Ballea Writers Club website will lead writers to websites of other writing groups in Ireland, agents and publishers, writing competitions, writing magazines, Irish literary festivals, conferences, writing courses, writers research and reference facilities, multimedia, webmasters resources and specialised sites such as those for poetry, teenage writing or short story and novel writing.
